A small island town in Northern Ireland, Enniskillen is encircled by various branches of the River Erne. Before mooring at one of the marinas, take a loop around the island to enjoy privileged views of its 16th-century castle. Seen from your houseboat, the fortress is even more striking. Once ashore, a wide range of activities awaits you: visit the castle and its military museum, try water sports at the Blueway Water Activity Zone, explore the neoclassical Castle Coole, or enjoy golfing, shopping, and fishing (with a valid permit). The town also boasts plenty of pubs and restaurants where you can spend a typically Irish evening with family or friends.

Lower Lough Erne

This large, shallow body of water north of Enniskillen is a haven for both anglers and hikers. Take a walk around Tully Castle or Monea Castle, hike to the Magho Cliffs for a breathtaking panorama,on clear days, you can even spot the Atlantic Ocean. Don’t miss the hike to Blackslee Waterfall, hidden deep in an enchanting forest of pine and poplar trees.

Belleek

After the Irish Great Famine, Belleek founded the Belleek Pottery in 1857 to revitalize the local economy. Evolving from utilitarian ware, it became a symbol of prestige,even supplying Queen Victoria. Enjoy a guided tour of their workshops,a family-friendly, educational experience.
