Before your cruise

Please remember to book your extras (bicycles, barbecue, Wi-Fi, cleaning, etc.) in advance.

Captain’s Manual: A handy booklet organized in chronological order, guiding you through every stage of your journey—from preparation to returning your boat. Want a sneak peek? You can download the PDF version below.
River Map: An essential guide to ensure smooth sailing. It includes locks, water points, mooring areas, and tourist highlights. Be sure to order it ahead of your departure! (Use the code: Riverly26 to get 5% off)
Base Access Map: A practical sheet with directions and contact info for your departure base.
Inventory Checklist: A detailed list of all onboard equipment, inside and out. Typically, crockery, bedding, and boat gear are included. You can bring your own towels and linen or rent them at the base.

Please contact the base a week before your departure to arrange a time for your arrival.

During your cruise

Your boating holiday will start between 3 pm and 6 pm.

Vehicle Parking
Each base offers free public parking or private/covered garages (not monitored). As private spaces are limited, we strongly recommend reserving your spot in advance.

Check-in & Formalities
Once at the base, check in at reception. While you complete the required paperwork, your crew can load the luggage or shop for initial supplies. Don’t forget your identity documents.

Navigation Briefing
After check-in, an instructor will come aboard to show you how to operate your license-free boat.

While on your boating holiday
Our team is available at all times. A free assistance service is accessible 7 days a week during base operating hours (listed in your onboard binder).

At the end of your cruise

You will need to return your boat between 8am and 9am (it is possible to return it the day before, subject to arrangement directly with the base).

Cleaning
All our boats are equipped with everything you need to clean the boat (inside and out). For added peace of mind, we also offer a cleaning service, which you can book by calling +44 333 057 0739.

When you return your boat, you can fill in a satisfaction survey to let us know what you thought of your cruise. Your ideas, advice and suggestions will be invaluable in helping us improve our service!
