Setting off from our Saint-Martin-sur-Oust base unlocks countless possibilities for a river cruise. Head east on the Nantes to Brest Canal to discover the breathtaking Île aux Pies. From there, take a detour along the peaceful Aff River to the charming village of La Gacilly, known for its flower-lined streets and stunning botanical garden.

Continuing on the canal brings you to Redon and its Saint-Sauveur Abbey—a true crossroads of waterways and legendary land of Merlin the Wizard! Heading toward Nantes, follow the Erdre Valley past Blain and the Gâvre Forest.

To the west of Saint-Martin-sur-Oust lies one of the canal’s most enchanting stretches. After passing through Malestroit with its timber-framed houses, mossy paths, and granite villages, you’ll be awed by the towering walls and turrets of the Château de Josselin. Pure magic!
