Glénac
Our Riverly base is located at the confluence of the Oust and the Aff. It’s a perfect starting point for cruises through the green heart of Brittany.
Île aux Pies
After 20 minutes of sailing from Glénac, you’ll reach the Nantes-Brest Canal and can make your first stop at the spot known as “Île aux Pies.” It’s the perfect place for a peaceful first night, with a large, well-equipped pontoon and picnic area. In summer, a canoe rental and small food kiosk are also available. This scenic spot is popular with swimmers, who use the island’s cliffs as natural diving platforms into the canal. For the more adventurous, rock climbing is also possible on the cliffside.
Redon
After passing your first lock, moor your boat in the heart of Redon’s marina. Visit the West Inland Waterway Museum, enjoy a guided tour of the abbey and Calvairiennes monastery, or stroll the pedestrian streets lined with half-timbered houses.
Rieux
On your way down the Vilaine River, stop at Rieux for a well-equipped mooring with restaurant, campground, and a walk to the ruins of the medieval castle.
Foleux
In this peaceful village port along the Vilaine, don't be surprised to see sailing boats, many make their way here from the Atlantic.
La Roche-Bernard
You’ve arrived at the highlight of your river cruise. You can dock at pontoons on the Vilaine River itself, as the old harbour is hard to access. From there, explore the old town’s lively streets filled with artisan workshops in medieval quarters. Visit the Maritime Vilaine Museum, the Beekeepers’ House, then return by boat along the Vilaine and the Nantes–Brest Canal to return your boat at the Glénac base after 2 days on the water.
