A peaceful little town in the Erdre Valley, Sucé-sur-Erdre is the perfect starting point for your river cruise, allowing you to discover by boat the 17 châteaux nicknamed the “Nantes Follies.” These elegant residences were built by wealthy Nantes merchants during the dark period of the transatlantic slave trade. Today, they are privately owned and admired by many boaters,whether in canoes, stand-up paddleboards, small sailboats, license-free riverboats, or on cruise boats offering onboard meals.

Bout de Bois

A pleasant stop to enjoy the peaceful banks of the canal and admire the craftsmanship of the wooden bridge.

Blain

A town of around 8,000 residents with all shops and services. The marina is located right next to the Château de la Groulais (dating back to 1108), which features a restaurant and hosts medieval events in summer. Several walking trails start from the port.

Guenrouët

Kids will love the swimming pool with slides and mini-golf, while adults can explore Kerisac Cider House (boutique, tasting room, and video about traditional Breton cider-making).
