Sárospatak
As you continue cruising along the Bodrog River, the Vörös torony (Red Tower), a former 15th-century medieval keep, rises prominently on the riverbank. Don’t miss the Rakóczi Palace, rebuilt starting in the 16th century,a true gem of Renaissance architecture. Other must-sees include the Reformed College (Református Kollégium), the large Gothic castle church (Vártemplom), and the Végardó Fürdő thermal baths, perfect for a family outing.
Sátoraljaújhely
Your river cruise on the Bodrog takes you to Sátoraljaújhely, on the border with Slovakia. Thrill-seekers take note: the Zemplén Kalandpark features Hungary’s longest summer bobsleigh track and chairlift, plus a ski slope, zipline, and more. After your stop, continue sailing to Tokaj to explore the upper Tisza region.
Bodrogkeresztúr
Sailing upstream along the Bodrog, you’ll cruise through vineyards and wetlands in the protected Tokaj–Bodrogzug area, a haven for migratory birds like eagles and storks. The village is also home to several Tokaj wine cellars worth visiting.
Tiszalök
