Port-sur-Saône
A charming “green town” with character, Port-sur-Saône enjoys a picturesque location along the Saône River and its lateral canal. Here, the blue of the water blends beautifully with the green of the surrounding forests and countryside. Before boarding your boat, take time to stroll through the town and admire its typical Comtois bell tower. Also worth a visit: the Maladière wildlife park, located along the river, home to fallow deer and llamas. A nearby pony club also welcomes young children for an introduction to horse riding.
Fouchécourt
Echoes of a prosperous 18th century, no fewer than nineteen washhouses reflect daily life in old Fouchécourt. Walking trails invite you to explore the surrounding area. By bike, set off toward the ruins of the 12th-century Cherlieu Abbey and the Château de Bougey, famous for its fabulous open-air jazz concerts in the warmer months.
Selles
The still-operational 1886 swing bridge is a fine example of 19th-century engineering. From here, reach Passavant-la-Rochère (4 km), home to a glassworks workshop with centuries of tradition.
Fontenoy-le-Château
While its hilltop castle recalls its medieval origins, Fontenoy-le-Château rose to fame in the late 19th and early 20th centuries as a world-renowned embroidery center. The Embroidery, Metallurgy and Heritage Museum showcases rare works made by the 500 embroiderers once active in the village.
Vôge‑les‑Bains
In the heart of Val de Vôge, the spa town features art‑deco thermal baths and peaceful surrounding parks, ideal for a relaxing cruise stop.
