Chioggia

So many unforgettable experiences are on offer in the Venice Lagoon. Sleepy villages, historic towns, elegant beaches, such as the Lido, all making up the treasures of the Veneto. Explore Chioggia, a superb town, linked to the mainland only by bridges, and with a delightful traditional fish market. If you follow the channels you will reach Pellestrina, a delightful little fishing village, followed by Malamocco and then Venice itself. As you glide along the canals, you can cast an admiring glance at its historical heritage: the campanile in St Mark’s Square, the Basilica, the Doges’ Palace and much more. If you head northwards, you will find a whole succession of small, romantic islands: Murano, with its craftsmen glassblowers, Burano and its lace-makers, Torcello with its Byzantine-style Basilica di Santa Maria Assunta.
