Port-sur-Saône
A charming “green town” with character, Port-sur-Saône enjoys a picturesque location along the Saône River and its lateral canal. Here, the blue of the water blends beautifully with the green of the surrounding forests and countryside. Before boarding your boat, take time to stroll through the town and admire its typical Comtois bell tower. Also worth a visit: the Maladière wildlife park, located along the river, home to fallow deer and llamas. A nearby pony club also welcomes young children for an introduction to horse riding.
Scey-sur-Saône
Cruise through this atmospheric 681-meter tunnel carved into the rock,a unique river experience.
Ray-sur-Saône
From your boat, take in postcard views of Ray-sur-Saône, with its fortified medieval castle and typical Comtois church nestled in greenery.
Savoyeux
The main attraction in Savoyeux is best experienced from the deck of your boat: a 10-minute cruise through the 643-meter-long canal tunnel, carved into the rock.
Gray
As the Saône widens, Gray unfolds with its stone quays and rich port legacy. Don't miss the Renaissance Town Hall, 15th‑c Basilica, Italian-style theater, Baron Martin Museum in the château, and the Museum of Art & Archeology.
Arc-les-Gray
Near the river stop, relax at a shaded picnic area. For a scenic lunch, visit Lamugnière Park with greenhouses and exotic trees: ginkgo, weeping beech, Atlas cedar, and Chinese mahogany.
Gray‑la‑Ville
Art and history enthusiasts can admire one of Haute‑Saône's finest altarpieces in the 17th‑century Saint‑Maurice Church, a listed monument.
Velet
At the Velet riverside stop, a small unsupervised beach allows for swimming in the Saône. It's suitable for children thanks to the shallow water over a large area.
Mantoche
A pleasant stop on the Petite Saône, Mantoche delights visitors with its elegant merchants’ houses, its 18th-century rebuilt church, and its château.
Auxonne
A former Burgundian stronghold on the Comtois bank of the Saône River, Auxonne boasts rare military heritage. The Bonaparte Museum, housed in Louis XI’s château, features the room where Napoleon trained as an artillery officer. The Vauban arsenal, now a market hall, is another highlight. Dock your license-free boat to explore the city on foot and admire its fortifications, the Comté Gate, the Royal Gate, and the 13th-century Notre-Dame Church.
