Near the Osselle lock on the Rhône-Rhine Canal, moor your boat and take a short trip (3 km) to the Grotte d’Osselle. A fascinating site featuring stalactites, stalagmites, and the largest cave bear necropolis in Europe. Bring warm clothes,temperatures rarely exceed 13°C.

At Fourbanne, the Rhône–Rhine Canal is overlooked by an impressive limestone cliff. Its caves are popular among cavers. A walk up to Saut de Gamache on the cliff crest offers a stunning view over the Doubs river bend.
